Fergie’s 40’s Inspired ‘Do from Rodney Cutler

1 Start off by applying Redken guts 10 volumizing spray mousse to add a little volume and rough dry.

2 Spray each section with Redken 09 workforce flexible volumizing spray before curling. Next, wrap pieces of hair around a 1/2 inch curling iron, creating spirals.

3 Create a side part and over-direct hair so that hair sits flatter at the front.  Brush out with a Mason Pearson brush to create an airy modern texture.

4 Pull hair back to one side, twisting slightly, and secure knot with bobby pins.
Finish with a little more workforce 09 for a long-lasting touchable hold.

A few months ago, Rodney Cutler had the pleasure of traveling back in time for inspiration to make Fergie vintage-fabulous for a Vanity Fair and Krug Dinner at the Chateau Marmont, hosted by Keisha Cole.  Even though Fergie has changed her look these days, we’re sure this will remain a timeless classic!
