HOW-TO STEPS

1

Prep the hair by applying Kenra Professional Platinum Working Spray 14, misting lightly throughout for control and a moderate hold.

2

Create large, horizontal sections from bottom to top.

3

Curl each section with a 1-inch barrel, curling toward the center of the head from roots to ends. Backcomb underneath each section as you curl, and apply Platinum Working Spray 14 directly on the backcombed hair.

4

Lightly comb the surface of the curled sections with a tail comb, keeping the teeth at an angle to preserve the teased hair.

5

Create a loose French braid, starting in the crown area and pinning the hair on a diagonal, toward the opposite side of the head. Grab a section, push a hair pin (with the grooves facing up!) into the hair, so the pin ends up facing downward. As you braid, leave pieces down around the face for added softness.

6

Continue the braid, pinning and weaving each section until you reach the opposite ear. Then, create a side ponytail and tie off with an elastic.

7

In the ponytail, start taking small sections of hair and gently tease, then lightly smooth the surface. Use the same pinning technique in Step 5 to create a side bun.

8

Pinch and pull the areas you want to see more fullness. Apply Kenra Professional Platinum Silkening Mist to set the style.
