Lime Green-Toned Color Block
This look is for the daring: Featuring three different formulas that each include green, this color block creation is by vivid specialist Meaghan Masterson Lewis (@meaghanmastersonhair). “This creation is my ode to everything Y2K, between the multi-dimensional chunky highlight to my interpretation of the straight bang with curly hair,” Meaghan shared on IG.

Color Maintenance: 3 Ways To Preserve Vivids
If you want to ensure your artistic masterpieces last, follow Meaghan’s three must-have maintenance tips below!
1. Use a color-safe shampoo and conditioner, like Meaghan’s go-to, Paul Mitchell Color Protect to avoid stripping the color from the hair.
2. Shampoo once (or a maximum of twice) a week—and dry shampoo is your friend in between wash days! The less you wash, the longer your color will stay.
3. Use cold water when shampooing to keep the hair cuticle closed—hot/warm water will cause the color to run.

Find Inspiration: Inside Meaghan’s Creative Process
For this earth-toned look, Meaghan credits nature: “I found a picture on Pinterest of this abstract graphic image, giving the illusion of rippling in water with a bunch of green hues in it. Once I have a vision, it’s all about creating a roadmap for your placement. I take into consideration the round of the head shape, understanding where the hair is going to fall and how I want each color block of my Paul Mitchell Colorways tones to lay in my look,” she explains.
To Meaghan, a vision board is key in organizing her creative process. “I create a vision board of a color palette and decide which tones I’m going to choose from my inspiration,” she explains.
