Get an Exclusive Look Inside the 56th Edition Of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna
The 56th edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna wrapped with record-breaking attendance and a clear message: the beauty industry is booming, and pro hair is leading the charge. With over 255,000 beauty professionals from 150 countries and 3,128 companies representing more than 10,000 brands, Bologna once again became the world capital of beauty.
The On Hair Stage at Cosmoprof Bologna delivered a high-impact mix of creativity and education, featuring world-renowned artists like Angelo Seminara and Mounir and top brands including Kemon, L’Oréal Professionnel and Redken all showcasing next-level color, cutting and styling trends live for the global pro community.
Among the standout moments for the pro hair community was BTC Founder and CEO Mary Rector taking the stage to teach “Unlocking Greatness: 25 Lessons From 25 Years.” In this powerful session, Mary shared the biggest takeaways from building the largest media company and community for salon professionals—a journey that has spanned two and a half decades of trendsetting, championing artists and pushing the industry forward. From raw behind-the-scenes stories to hard-earned business lessons, her class left the audience inspired, energized, and ready to level up both personally and professionally.

Big Numbers, Big Moves
This year’s Cosmoprof saw a 4.5% increase in visitors over last year and expanded its exhibition space by 5.8%—a sign of how rapidly the industry is evolving. With 78% of exhibitors from outside Italy and 29 country pavilions, international innovation was on full display. “If you want to start a professional beauty brand,” Mary Rector said, “you start by attending this show.”
Through the Buyer Program and matchmaking initiatives, industry professionals forged global connections and got an inside look at what’s next in categories like eco-conscious formulations, high-tech tools and ultra-personalized beauty solutions.

What’s Fueling the Boom?
According to BolognaFiere Cosmoprof President Gianpiero Calzolari, the beauty industry is projected to exceed €612 billion in revenue by the end of 2025. Italian exports alone have surged, with a 20% rise in 2023 followed by another 11.4% increase in 2024—further proof that beauty is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the world economy.
The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and Cosmetica Italia played key roles in bringing in more than 220 operators, buyers, and KOLs from 80 countries, strengthening Italy’s position as a global beauty powerhouse.

A Global Trendsetting Hub
Cosmoprof 2025 put a major spotlight on sustainability, wellness and AI-driven beauty experiences. The evolving demands of conscious consumers took center stage, with a clear emphasis on clean formulations, inclusive product development and the growing role of tech in beauty.
With industry legends, fresh talent and brands from around the world gathered under one roof, the show confirmed its status as the go-to destination for professionals looking to connect, discover, and shape the future of beauty.
