Paterson SA Artistic Director Austen Thomson was inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite era and the soft movement within the hair and shape of the bodies for his collection Unique Romance. The craftsmanship during the Pre-Raphaelite movement and romance expressed through the medium of paint brought together a relationship, which Austen has developed in his latest collection.

By creating large, gentle shapes Austen Thomson then turned these styles into abstract works of art by using string to distort the natural movement, which gives the pre-raphaelite inspiration a modern day twist.
