QUICKIE: Glam Beachy Waves

close formula

Nothing goes better with balayage than beachy waves—so when @mastersofbalayage founder Ryan Weeden posted this beachy wave how-to on a gorgeous blonde balayage, it had us feeling that #HairEnvy and dreaming of warmer weather. Watch below for how he creates perfectly undone waves, and start trying the technique out behind the chair!

Products Used

1. Apply amika Bombshell Blowout Spray to wet hair and comb through with The Wet Brush Pro Epic Quick Dry Brush. Then blow-dry with a large round brush. After the hair is dry, apply a generous amount of Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Frizz Control Styling Spray throughout.

2. Starting from the front, grab small random sections of hair and curl away from the face using a Hot Tools Professional Marcel Iron. Then roll the iron from the midlengths to the roots, holding momentarily to allow the hair to keep the curl.

3. After releasing the hair, pull down on the section to create the beachy wave. When the entire head is curled, shake out the hair and lightly comb through with your fingers.

4. Apply Kenra Dry Texture Spray for long-lasting volume, then finish the look by setting with Kenra Shaping Spray.

Watch how it’s done!
