Thandie Newton’s Sleek Golden Globes Pony
“Westworld” star and Golden Globe nominee Thandie Newton clearly killed it last night on the red carpet in her white, off-the-shoulder Bardot dress. But what we’re really impressed by? How her hair was strategically styled to complement her gown and that gorgeous diamond necklace that looks like a choker in front and then cascades down her back. Stylist Lacy Redway (aka stylist whose clients include Chrissy Teigen, Olivia Palermo and Solange Knowles!), did the honors, and she gave Thandie a sleek, long pony with a little bit of height at the crown. In the back, it’s perfectly haloed by her necklace. Here’s how Lacy achieved the look!
HOW-TO STEPS

Start with slightly damp hair after washing with Fekkai Essential Shea Shampoo and Conditioner.

Prep hair by spraying Fekkai Blowout Primer throughout to block frizz.

Apply Fekkai Full Blown Volume Lightweight Styling Whip from the midshaft to ends for a smooth foundation and extra hold for heat styling.

Next, separate and blow out the hair in three sections from top to bottom. For the top section, blow-out with a round brush for extra volume at the crown. The sides are sleeker, so blow-out these pieces with a flat Mason Pearson brush.

Secure the bottom half of the hair slightly lower than the crown with a bungee elastic. Then, add top section to the ponytail with pins, and secure the ponytail.

Spray Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray onto the flat brush to tame flyaways on the sides and at the nape of the neck.
