Celebrity hairstylist Bryce Scarlett (@brycescarlett) styled Margot Robbie’s hair for the “Barbie” movie premiere in what he describes as a “doll-like ponytail from the 1960s to coordinate with her stunning ’60s-inspired custom Schiaparelli gown.”

Read on to learn how Bryce used Redken and Tangle Teezer products to style the look.

HOW-TO STEPS

1

Bryce prepped Margot’s dry hair by detangling with Tangle Teezer’s The Wide Tooth Comb, to reduce breakage.

2

Bryce shampooed Margot’s hair with Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo then misted Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Lightweight Liquid Conditioner and combed through using Tangle Teezer’s The Ultimate Detangler for even distribution.

3

After rinsing, he dried the hair in large sections and set with velcro rollers.

4

Once cooled, he sectioned out the ponytail leaving out two inches of her hairline around the entire head using the Tangle Teezer’s The Ultimate Styler for a smooth, shiny finish then secured with hair ties.

5

He then curled the entire ponytail and the hairline sections into two-inch curls using a curling iron.

6

Once cooled, he used Tangle Teezer’s The Ultimate Styler to gently brush out the curls. He then finished off the look by shaping the bang area into an S-shape above the ear and secured it at the base of the ponytail.
