Wanting to let Kaley Cuoco’s gorgeous Monique Lhuilier gown (which had pockets!) do the talking at the 2019 Golden Globes, celebrity stylist Christine Symonds (@christinesymondshair) opted for a smooth blowout paired with an embellished half-up twist. “We wanted to keep the hair simple, effortless and cool. Nothing too stiff or over worked. Just pretty, touchable, wearable hair,” shared Christine. “Because it was the Golden Globes, we had to add a little something special so we accented the back with some sparkle.” Find out how to recreate this wearable style in the steps below!

Products Used

Prep damp hair with Aveda Speed of Light™ Blow Dry Accelerator Spray from roots to ends.

Then, spray Aveda Volumizing Tonic at the roots and apply a generous amount of Aveda Smooth Infusion™ Nourishing Styling Creme from midlengths to ends.

Blow-dry the hair section by section with a large round brush, then set sections with a hair clip and let cool.

Remove the clips and brush through the hair with your fingers, then apply Aveda Shampure™ Dry Shampoo at the roots for added grip, volume and texture.

Next, take a 2-inch section on either side of the head and twist back. Secure with bobby pins.

Distribute a few pumps of Aveda Light Elements™ Smoothing Fluid in your hands and apply the product evenly on the ends.

Spray Aveda Air Control™ Light Hold Hair Spray all-over for a secure hold, then spray Aveda Control Force Hair Spray to any stubborn pieces that need extra hold. Finish by adding an embellishment if desired for added sparkle or to keep the look simple and chic.
