1. Ensure the canvas is prelightened. “My hair had just been treated with a Marcia Teixeira Soft Chocolate Keratin Treatment, which removed all of my previous toner,” Emily shared. “This left me with a pretty clean canvas.”
2. For longer staying power and more vibrant results, apply to dry hair. “I applied to damp hair for a softer result that allows me to switch up colors often,” Emily said. “The Matrix SoColor CULT shades are very conditioning, so no need to worry about that.”
Pro Tip: To maintain the color longer, use cooler water, don’t over-wash and reapply the pastel conditioner at every wash.
