This season, according to the designing minds behind Schwarzkopf Professional’s Essential Looks Modern Style Collection, you can take your pick. The company’s international team of artists—including North American Colour Director, Rossa Jurenas, and North American Creative Director, Damien Carney, who created the Salon Look interpretations of each trend—have culled catwalks, trend forecasts, street fashion and their own keen observations to identify the three most important cut, color and style directions right now.
“In this collection,” says Rossa, “we show how catwalk trends can be translated into ready-to-wear looks that real women can wear. Experimenting with color is fun and shouldn’t be daunting. Even with my own clients, I might take something I did creatively for a shoot and soften the edge, or ‘dilute’ the color and the cut for more of a commercial look.”
