Atlanta-based hairstylist Kelley Brandon (@kelleyscanvas) is a color correction specialist and recently gave her client a stunning transformation so we reached out for all the details. Who is the ideal client for this technique?
“The great thing about this technique is that it can be applied to any texture of hair! This look generally can be for anyone however if they do not like a darker base, I don’t recommend the shadow root. And of course, if their hair isn’t healthy it’s a NO from me,” says Kelley.
What maintenance is required for this look?
With the proper at-home care, this look generally lasts a few months. “At-home care consists of keeping off the heat, especially for textured hair. It can fade the hair quicker and cause it to become compromised,” explains Kelley. “I always have my clients follow up with the Olaplex No. 0 and Olaplex No. 3 for their first shampoo after our color service,” recommends Kelley. In-salon maintenance requires a toner to freshen up the blonde when needed, along with an Olaplex treatment.
