How-To:

1. Mix Biolage Haircolor with hot water (1:3), then apply to clean hair. “Since this color line is intermixable, you can mix any colors together to achieve the desired color you are hoping for,” notes Jack in the caption.

2. Process for 30 minutes, then rinse with cool water and condition with Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Color Care Acidic Milk Rinse

3. Prep the hair with Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Heat Styling Primer, then blow-dry and style as desired.

4 Things To Know Before Working With Biolage’s Plant-Based Haircolor

1. It’s a deposit-only color that can be used on a variety of services including toning, color glossing, shine enhancement, up to 60 percent gray blending, lowlights, multi-tonal effects and color melts. It’s also ideal for clients who have a haircolor allergy.

2. You can still do lightening services on clients with Biolage Haircolor. “Biolage removed the metallic dyes from henna, which is why they call it clean henna,” Jack shared in an Instagram caption. “Having the metallic dyes removed allows for you to use lightening products and not worry about any undesirable results!”

3. Formulated to last through 20 shampoos, these vegan, pre-blended shades can deliver sheer hues in 10 minutes or rich, blended coverage in 30 minutes.

4. No developer is needed when using Biolage Haircolor–just add hot water and mix!
