4 Trending Hairstyles for Festival Season
The Top Hair Trends for Festival Season 2025, Courtesy of Coachella
Though Coachella 2025 is over, festival season is only just beginning and the beauty and hair looks spotted in the Coachella Valley desert will continue to inspire concert-goers throughout the rest of the year. From undone boho waves to heat-proof accessories like silk head scarves and bandanas, we’re breaking down the hair trends that’ll keep you cool and effortlessly on point all season long.
1. Micro Braids
Braids will always be a staple at Coachella. And as bold as the 2018-esq neon bubble braids were (and we did spot a few this year!) tiny, subtle braids woven throughout wavy hair took centerstage and we think will be one of the biggest hair trends of the year. See the trend here:
In addition to micro braids, we’re giving an honorable mention to Charli D’Amelio’s fishtail braids by Celebrity Hairstylist Laura Polko (@laurapolko). And considering how viral the throwback look went, we’re thinking there’s a good chance concert-goers will try to recreate all festival season long.

2. Boho Waves
ICYMI: The Olsen Twin-inspired boho hair is officially back, and renditions of the look were all over the Coachella grounds—including on Lorde and Charli XCX for her performance. Celebrity Hairstylist Matt Benns (@mattbenns) used K18 Hair products to create both looks.
3. Head Scarves & Bandanas
This year, we saw the ribbon and bow coquette-inspired looks being traded in for head scarves and bandanas being worn like caps over long flowy locks.
4. Spikey, Center-Parted Strands
This year, festival-goers are trading in face-framing pieces at the hairline for spikey face-framing pieces that are taken from the mid-scalp region. See a few takes on the look below.
