Introducing…the New Face of OPI!
I’m Not Really a Waitress. Lincoln Park After Dark. Big Apple Red.
You know these OPI shade names because they’re iconic, and you’ve probably worn at least one, if not all. Now, 30 of OPI’s quintessential shades are getting a reboot: they’ll be available as OPI’s long-wear lacquer line, Infinite Shine, which provides 10-day shine without the LED light. And to take these iconic shades into the next generation, OPI tapped 19-year-old Pyper America Smith, a style icon, model and musician.
“Pyper embodies infinite possibility, and by constantly reinventing herself, she’s inspiring a new generation of women,” says OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “With Infinite Shine we wanted to reinvent the manicure, giving salons a fresh way to upgrade lacquer clients and attract new clients.”
Pyper plays bass guitar alongside siblings Lucky, Daisy and Starlie in the family surf-rock band The Atomics. She’s also an in-demand model who has walked runways for Philipp Plein and Ermanno Scervino with Moschino, shot in Iceland with Annie Leibovitz, and graced the red carpet at the 2016 Met Gala. She shares her innate sense of style and passion for color with a massive social media audience including 688,000 Instagram followers. “OPI was my go-to brand long before this partnership,” says Pyper. “I love the intensity of the color with just one or two coats and the quality of the finish.”
So which are Pyper’s fave shades?
My Private Jet: “This one’s beautiful because it has so many different flecks. Its name is perfect because when I have this on, I feel fancier.”
Olive for Green: “These colors are so striking. This green is a must-have.”
Big Apple Red: “Everyone needs a good red, and this one looks good on everyone (even the nail artists agree with me).”
