WATCH: Zipper Braid + Low Pony
Create a half-moon section in the front hairline. Then, use the Moroccanoil® Hydrating Styling Cream to divide the section into three equal strands.
Start by crossing the right strand over the center strand and under the left strand. Then, direct the left strand over to the right side of the head (do not cross it with other strands) and have the client hold it.
Note: There should only be two strands in the center at all times.
Next, take a subsection of hair from the right side and cross it over the center right strand and under the center left strand. Have the client hold this subsection with her left hand. Then, take a subsection from the left side and cross it over the center left strand and under the center right strand. Do not hand this strand to the client yet.
At this point, the client should have one strand in each hand. Switch your right strand with her strand and tuck it under the strand traveling from the left side so that it marries with the center right strand.
Then, take a new subsection of hair on the right and cross it over the center right strand and under the center left strand. Switch your left strand with the strand from your client and tuck it under the strand traveling from the right side and marry it with the center left strand. Continue braiding with this technique until reaching the nape.

Use an elastic cord to secure the hair at the nape. Then, use Moroccanoil® Molding Cream to pancake the hair out for expansion.
Take a small section of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic cord to conceal, then secure with Moroccanoil® Luminous Hairspray Extra Strong. To add texture to the ponytail, use a 1¼-inch Marcel iron to create a beach-waved effect.
Backbrush the ponytail for amplified volume, and finish the look with Moroccanoil® Luminous Hairspray Strong.
