  The treatment will be unique to each individual client by using Dermalogica’s unique botanical mixers throughout the step-by-step process to provide additional benefits to the client’s skin.  Treatment time:  60 mins

  Review the Dermalogica Face Mapping Consultation Card and question the client on water consumption, types of medications, recent chemical procedures etc.  Ensure that there are no possible contraindications to the treatment. 

  Remove eye and lip make-up with Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover.

  Cleanse twice under steam with the appropriate Dermalogica cleanser for your client.  Select from: UltraCalming Cleanser, Essential Cleansing Solution, Special Cleansing Gel, Dermal Clay Cleanser, Anti-Bac Skin Wash. These can also be customized with Dermalogica’s Botanical Mixers, depending on your client’s skin condition.

  Remove all traces of cleanser with a warm steam towel or sponges, customizing your rinsing water with a Botanical Mixer.

   

  Perform Face Mapping Skin Analysis.

  Select the correct Dermalogica Professional Exfoliant according to the needs of the client. Choose from Daily Microfoliant™, Bio Peel, Skin Prep Scrub (can be mixed with cleanser), Skin Exfoliant System, or MultiVitamin Power Exfoliant. You may also choose to add mechanical brush cleansing to this step for extra exfoliation and deep cleansing benefits; these can be used with Skin Prep Scrub or Daily Microfoliant™.  Proceed according to the directions for each product.    

  If extractions are to be performed, whisk up Scaling Fluid with a masque brush to a light foam and apply to congested areas (under steam for 10 minutes prior to extractions). Apply Post Extraction Solution to cotton and wipe over the extracted areas.

  Perform Dermalogica’s pressure point massage using a massage medium selected according to the client’s skin and preference.  Select from the following:

  Oil-based System

  Oil Free Massage Base Fluid
  Calming Botanical Mixer
  Purifying Botanical Mixer
  Replenishing Botanical Mixer

  Pigment Relief Serum

  Next, prepare for the masque phase.  Press six drops of a Dermalogica Serum directly onto the skin, based on your client’s needs. Select from O2 Uptake Serum, Pigment Relief Serum, Sebum Control Serum, Environmental Control Serum.

  Apply the appropriate Dermalogica masque customized with Dermalogica Botanical Mixers. Select according to the client’s skin needs from: Colloidal Masque Base, Intensive Moisture Masque, Plankton Masque Base, MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque, Anti-Bac Cooling Masque, Clinical Colloidal Oatmeal.

  Remove after 10-15 minutes with warm water and sponges or a steam towel (for Clinical Colloidal Oatmeal allow an additional 10 minutes). Customize your water or towel with a Dermalogica Botanical Mixer.

  Spritz with Multi-Active Toner or Soothing Protection Spray.

  A concentrated Dermalogica Booster can be applied to address specific needs. Choose from a professional Serum or retail Booster that you may wish to introduce to the client. Select from Extra Firming, Skin Hydrating (New Product!), Special Clearing or Gentle Soothing Booster.

  Apply a suitable Dermalogica moisturizer, selecting from Active Moist, Oil Control Lotion, Skin Smoothing Cream, Intensive Moisture Balance, or Barrier Repair.  Clients looking for a tinted and/or SPF product can instead use Sheer Tint Moisture SPF15 or Sheer Moisture SPF15 (New Product!).

  Apply MultiVitamin Power Firm to the eye and lip area, or choose from Total Eye Care, or Intensive Eye Repair.

  Apply sun protection, using one of the Dermalogica Solar Defense System products, unless your client has already requested a moisturizer with SPF as referred above.

  According to client preference an application of Treatment Foundation and Color Correctors can be applied as the final step to your professional treatment.
