The latest season of “Game of Thrones” may be over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take a little hair inspo from the ladies of the cult drama back to your salon. Have a devoted Daenerys fan in your chair dying to rock her intricate, medieval-inspired braids? Now she can with this how-to from Butterfly Studio Salon stylist Jason Dougherty. See how it’s done!

HOW-TO STEPS

  • 1

    Split her hair down the middle and create a section around the temple to be used for the top braid.

  • 2

    Place a light gel or serum like Shu Uemura’s Touch of Gloss on the crown for shine.

  • 3

    Then, create an inverted braid along the head on both sides and connect the two in the back.

  • 4

    Prep the remaining hair with Oribe Dry Texture Spray.

  • 5

    Start a waterfall braid along the head on both sides and connect with the first braid. 

  • 6

    Finally, use a curling wand to create loose waves.

  • 7

    Use your hands and a comb to backcomb the hair for a textured look. Place an ornate necklace as a headpiece for an added touch.
