Cut the baseline with adjustable-blade clippers in the closed position.

Cut the bulk in the parietal area using clipper-over-comb.

Blend 1½ inches above the baseline with your clipper and #1 guard with the lever open.

Blend above the baseline ¾ inches with your clipper and the #1 guard in the closed position.

Blend out the baseline with a #½ guard in the closed position.

Cut the top starting at the highest point of the head and work toward the front hairline, using clipper-over-comb to pull the hair parallel to the floor, creating a square shape. Overdirect the last two sections for extra length in the front.

Starting just behind the ear, connect the back of the cut using a pie-shaped radial section. Overdirect the hair toward the previous section for more length in the middle.

Blend up from the bottom with a 000 trimmer.

Detail and refine the haircut.

Prep with Aveda Men's Firm Hold Gel, then blow-dry with a round brush.

Finish with Aveda Men's Pomade.
