Oribe styled “Her Royal Minajesty” Nicki Minaj for the Winter 2014/15 issue of V Magazine, adding soft texture to the hair to enhance the singer’s new blonde highlights. “The look was a combination of Stephanie Seymour, Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campbell from the Versace days of the ’90s,” Oribe explains. “It was wild, but chic and showed off the superstar that she is.”
For the color, which was the focus of the look, sections of hair were blocked off in a tic-tac-toe pattern and given different hues. Then, certain spots were given random bleach and dye marks to add to the intrigue. This unique look perfectly suited Oribe’s view of the star: “Ordinary she is not.”
