FORMULA STEPS

Before: Tia’s client came in with previous grown-out blonde and was ready for a change

 

 

1. Strategically lighten the hair with Formula A, especially around face frame, to create pops of brightness.

2. Process to your desired lift and rinse.

 

3. Apply Formula B as a root shadow.

 

4. Alternate Formula C and Formula D to create dimensional depth throughout the mids and ends. Leave out the face frame.

 

5. Apply Formula E to the face frame. Pro Tip: This was a freehand reverse balayage so saturation on your sections is important. Also, have a towel on hand to wipe your hands to avoid unwanted color transfer!” Tia recommends.

6. Process for the recommended time and rinse.

 

7. To prep for the blow-dry, Tia loves to apply Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Leave-In, followed by Oribe Volumizing Mousse and Kenra Professional Platinum Silkening Mist.
