FORMULA STEPS

Check out the color placement diagrams below and happy painting!

1. Starting at the back of the head, alternate applying Formula A using a foilayage technique (following the red lines in the diagram below), and surface-painting with Formula B underneath (following the teal areas in the diagram below.) Continue this pattern working up the back of the head.

 

2. Using diagonal subsections, continue this pattern. Pro Tip: Speed up the lifting process by mixing fresh lightening formulas with 30-volume developer (instead of 20-volume) as you work, so the front catches up with the back section.

 

3. Continue this pattern throughout the top section, then paint 1/2-inch sliced foils around the face frame for a pop of brightness. Use this piece to determine when the lifting process is complete.

4. Shampoo and condition the hair, then tone with Formula C. Process, then rinse.
