Redken Global Artistic Ambassador Lindsey Olson (@lindsey.marie.olson) created this dimensional peach ginger blend at Thrive Hair Collective in Chicago. She took BTC Senior Editor Lauren Freas’ faded, all-over semi-permanent color with playful peekaboo color blocking into a peachy look, utilizing the color block for dimension.

Steps
Before:
1. Use Formula A to highlight the hair, breaking up the copper in the crown and adding pops of brightness throughout. Lindsey explains, “I have created my own hybrid hand-painted technique that combines the dimension of a highlight and the softness of a balayage.”
2. Rinse and rough-dry the hair. Then, apply Formula B to the roots, covering regrowth. For this step, Lindsey reaches for Redken’s latest launch, Shades ALK, achieving the perfect color match for grow-out longevity. Here’s why:
