FORMULA STEPS

1. Apply Formula A as a root touch-up. Using Joico Vero K-Pak Age Defy will beautifully cover even the most resistant gray hair as well as reverse the signs of graying hair, like wiry texture and lackluster hair that has no shine.

2. Section the hair for teasy lights. “The placement I do is key,” Angela says. She focuses on face-framing and teases fine sections, using Formula B in foils.

3. Angela likes to “tip out” the previously-lightened ends with Formula C. Process entirely for 45 minutes.

4. Shampoo and tone. “Most of all my toning is done in a color melt technique,” Angela says. “This particular client always pulls warm,” so first Angela applies Formula D only at the top.

5. Apply Formula E throughout the hair, then comb through, starting from the top into the mids for the melt.

6. Process for 15 to 20 minutes, rinse, condition, dry and style.
