Combining elements of geometry and texture, Shape by Tyler Kelbert (@tyler_kelbert) was the 2023 #ONESHOT Winner for Texture Collection (NA). Tyler dreamed of bringing this texture collection to life since his start in hair in 2012, and after gaining the skills to do it, he finally took the leap in 2023 to bring his dream to life. 

Behind Tyler’s Inspiration:

“During the #ONESHOT entry period, I was helping some friends with a photoshoot in California and got inspired to do my own photoshoot,” Tyler shares. “I had the idea to try to do some crazy shapes, like the idea I had when I first started doing hair. At the shoot, I started drawing different shapes on head sheets and came up with a few I liked.”

Then, he set out to turn the visions in his mind into real life: “I did some practice on some friends and then put together a team to do a shoot. We shot for the whole day and the rest is history,” Tyler shares. “This collection is definitely my favorite that I’ve ever done, it helped my career so much last year.”
