Neo Femme Revolution, from Gary Gill/Monroe Hairdressing

For his recent collection, Neo Femme Revolution, Gary Gill of Monroe Hairdressing looked to music for inspiration.  It wasn’t the catchy tune of a favorite song that guided his shears, but iconic female recording artists from throughout the decades.

“Many female singers have iconic status,” Gill says. “They draw power and strength from their look and sound.” Gill gave these ladies powerful cuts that have a casual, undone sexiness.  Like the pop-culture icons who inspired these looks, they’re strong, feminine and undeniably powerful, ready to change the world.
