1. Create The Perfect Foundation – 3:29

• To prep, Lara sprays damp hair with Matrix Bioalge R.A.W. Frizz Control Styling Spray. Then, she blow-dries until almost completely dry and rounds out the ends.

• When backcombing, overdirect the hair and take it slow. This creates more volume/texture and establishes a firm foundation to build off of.

2. Insert Bobby Pins The Secure Way – 6:33

• Bobby pins should not lay flat against the head. Instead, Lara says to insert it downward with the ridged side facing the head and pinch the pin in.

• Lara’s tip? Tell clients to condition first, then shampoo to reduce damage and avoid messy knots.
