Edgy braids, embellished styles and bold color are taking over Instagram feeds which can only mean one thing—festival season is back again! Want to learn a style that effortlessly mixes all three? Then check out this quickie from BTC Team member Jordan Pomeroy (@jbraidsandbows), which she created on herself! It’s the ultimate blend of signature festival hair attributes, and we’ve got the steps below—check it out.

How-To

1. To start, prep the hair with amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo and Un.Done Texture Spray to give it some texture and grip. Then, divide one side in two from the top of the head to the bottom with the front section being a little smaller. 

2. Then, add vibrant braiding hair to the front section for length, density and a non-committal pop of color and create a French braid along the hairline.

3. Next, add braiding hair to the back section and create a second French braid. Repeat on the other side of the head for a total of three braids.

4. To give the style some edge, insert large safety pins between the two braids from the top of the style to right before the ear. Then, add glitter on the blonde strands for some festival-approved sparkle.
