Find the natural parting and section the hair from front to nape. From that section take horizontal sections above the nape line. With the head tilted forwards comb the section from roots to ends then hold the hair without tension or elevation and cut the line starting in the centre and working to the sides.

Continue the section pattern on each side using fine sections until you reach the top of the ear. Take a section from the centre back through to each side to incorporate the sides. Comb the hair back over the shoulder, continue the line from the back through to the sides.

Repeat this section pattern on each side until you reach the top of the head.

Comb the front section to find the natural fall, secure the rest of the hair out of the way. Comb the section from roots to ends and hold the hair either in your fingers or with your comb. Cut the line from the centre out to the sides. You can make the line straight or curved depending on the face shape and the desired end look.
