Vibrant Pink Balayage
Achieving a dimensional vibrant color requires starting on the perfect canvas—that’s why BTC Team Member Michelle Stevenson (@michellehair) balayages her clients before applying fashion colors. A balayaged canvas adds dimension and offers a better grow-out process for the client. Catch her formulas and techniques below for this rich, painted pink using the new SOCOLOR Cult color line from Matrix.
Takeaway Tips From @Michellehair
Curious why Michelle starts with a balayaged canvas? Here are the details behind her prepping process.
- If the starting canvas is a blended balayage, the fashion colors (especially when working with pinks and purples) will fade back to that starting point without a harsh line of demarcation.
- A balayaged canvas will naturally create highs and lows in the haircolor, allowing the end result to be more dimensional. (This can’t happen if the hair is prelightened all over.)
