Honestly, this light pink hue styled into a French twist with a braided accent piece is what all of our springtime dreams are made of. Here’s how Annette Waligora (@annette_updo_artist), a new member of The BTC Team from Chicago, created the color and style using the Matrix SoColor CULT line and Biolage R.A.W. styling products!
1. To start, highlight throughout the entire head using Formula A, let process and rinse with Fanola No Yellow Shampoo.
2. Then, rough-dry the hair and add pops of pink color by thinly weaving sections throughout the head and applying Formula B.
3. Let the color process, then rinse, use the Biolage R.A.W. Color Care Shampoo and follow with the Biolage R.A.W. Color Care Acidic Milk Rinse to lock in the color. Leave on for 10 minutes. Then use with the Biolage R.A.W. Color Care Conditioner.
Styling Steps
1. On damp hair, apply the Biolage R.A.W. Styling Milk then blow-dry.
2. Once dry, backcomb the hair starting at the top of the head, then move to the sides and the crown area for added volume and smooth out.
3. Leave some pieces out in the front to create a more romantic end result. Then, starting on the left side, use a boar bristle brush and direct the hair to the right, stopping in the middle of the head. Once it’s smooth, bobby pin the hair vertically crisscrossing the bobby pins to keep them secure.
4. Take a small section of hair toward the middle of the hair you just pulled to the side and braid a section of it (this will be the accent piece).
5. Spray the Biolage R.A.W. Texture Spray and Frizz Control Styling Spray on the hair and start molding it into a French Twist. Then take the accent braid and pin in place.
