Hollywood blonder Justin Anderson (@justinandersoncolor) is a bleach-and-tone master, so we always turn to him for tips and tricks on bleach and tone haircolor processes. His secret? Working quickly and using a higher developer with Olaplex, which means lightener is on the hair for less time and the hair is simultaneously super protected.

“I have loved Olaplex from the beginning!” Justin shared. “I am always going to be loyal to it. I want my clients to leave my chair with healthy, bright and amazing hair…and Olaplex helps me do that.” Olaplex is the first product with patented chemistry that seeks out broken bonds and repairs them, plus it can be used in all salon services and with all color lines—which is why many top colorists like Justin reach for it again and again!

Check out how he handled @neriahfisher’s regrowth and gave her a bright bleach and tone below!

FORMULA STEPS

Before.

1. Use Formulas A and B to erase the regrowth and bring the entire hair canvas to a clean blonde.

2. Rinse the hair and apply Formula C, leaving the roots out (which will be shadowed later). Leave on for at least 5 minutes, longer if you need to knock out some yellow spots.

3. Tone the entire head at the bowl with dpHUE Cool Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner.

4. Apply Formula D as a shadow root, combing down while processing to ensure an even blend.

5. Rinse, then apply Formula E as an all-over gloss. Process and rinse with dpHUE ACV Hair Rinse to lock in color.
