Dimensional Vanilla Blonde With a Soft Shadow Root

This dimensional vanilla blonde by Danger Jones Global Ambassador Tia Lambourn (@tialambourn_hair) blends high-impact brightness with soft, lived-in depth. Created during a collaborative class with Kaine Vakai (@kainevakaihair), the look uses strategic lowlighting, a soft root shadow, mid-tone blending and wet balayage to create a creamy blonde finish with movement, contrast and a seamless grow-out.

Target Level
Level 10 with Level 7–9 dimensional lowlights

Steps

  1. Lighten the hair using Formula A.

  1. Apply Formula B through selected interior and/or surface sections to create soft depth and break up over-bright areas. Rinse.

  1. Apply Formula C to create a soft, lived-in base that blends the blonde into the natural regrowth area.

  1. Use Formula D to connect the root shadow and blonde ends, keeping the transition diffused instead of stripey.

  1. Refine with a wet balayage technique using Formula F to brighten targeted ends and face-framing pieces. Rinse.

  1. Finish with Formula E to tone the blonde into a soft vanilla-beige finish while keeping brightness around the face.
