Hand-Painted Blonde Blend

While a classic blonde balayage is always on-trend, something about summertime makes clients want to go lighter and brighter. So when we spotted this stunning rooty blonde on BTC Team Member Mallery Share’s (@hellobalayage) Instagram page—which is FILLED with balayage inspo btw—we had to know her technique. FORMULA STEPS
1. Take slanted sections and paint Formula A so the blonde pops against the dark shadow root. “Juvexin Lightening Powder+ offers a smooth consistency that easily glides on to the hair,” shares Mallery. “And it pairs so well with Shield Additive+, keeping strands healthy so I can use 30-volume developer without making the hair feel dry or damaged.”
2. Place each section between film for incubation and process for 30 minutes. In the last 10 minutes, process under low to medium heat.
3. Rinse, then apply GKhair Lock Me Color Masque. Leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse again.
4. Then, glaze the roots with Formula B and the midlengths and ends with Formula C. Process for 10 minutes. “The toners are so long-lasting and leaves the hair feeling like silk,” says Mallery. “Combining 7.11 Intense Ash Blond with 10-volume developer is my favorite tone because it cuts every bit of brass.”
5. Rinse, blow-dry the hair and apply GKhair Cashmere and GKhair Serum for smoother strands and high-shine.
