Custom Peachy Pink
By Bel Mills
If your blonde client wants to temporarily change up their look, keep reading! evo Creative Team Member Bel Mills (@bel_pipsqueekinsaigon) showed us exactly how she creates a cute, low-commitment pink for blonde clients that want to fade back to blonde, but also have a little more fun in between.
Who is an ideal client for this look?
“Pink surprisingly suits nearly everyone,” says Bel. “Pink can be soft, bright, cool and warm. You can find the perfect tone for almost everyone,” she says, which makes it a super versatile color for a range of clients.
“This pink needs to be applied to pre-lightened hair. The lighter the hair is, the more pastel you can go,” Bel explains.
What can clients expect from their appointment?
“This transformation was actually quite simple,” Bel says. “That’s why I love using evo fab pro direct dye. Once I rinsed my foils, I dried off the hair, applied the color conditioner from roots to ends and processed for 20 minutes.”
How can clients care for vivid colors at home?
fab pro direct dye is great for clients that are looking for a risk-free change. “These colors are temporary,” Bel says, adding that “evo has a rad system where your stylist can make you a customized take-home maintenance conditioner that perfectly matches your color. You can then top it off at home.” AKA: An easy way to sell more retail and keep clients looking salon-fresh in between appointments!
Pro Tip: To help with color fading, instruct clients to wash their hair with cold water. “I tell my clients that these colors generally fade in half each wash,” says Bel.
