Surface Glow: Dimensional Highlights
1. Create a diamond-shaped section on top of head.
2. Working in the diamond-shaped section, take a 1/8-inch diagonal slice and place on foil. Apply formula using side brushing technique from scalp to ends. Continue taking diagonal slices, leaving approximately 1-inch of hair in between foils, apply formula in same manner until section is complete. There will be approximately 6-10 foils depending on density of hair.
Halo Glow: Face Brightening Highlights
1. Create a parting from top of ear to top of ear. Next, create a parting over left eye to crown as shown, clip and secure.
2. Working along the hairline on left side, take a 1/8-inch horizontal slice and place on foil. Utilizing a side brushing technique apply formula from scalp to ends.
3. Repeat sectioning leaving approximately 1-inch of hair in between foils and repeat application in same manner until section is complete.
4. Repeat on opposite side. There should be approximately 8-12 foils depending on density of hair.
Ombre Glow: Soft Illuminating Highlights
1. Create a rectangle approximately 2 inches in width directly over client’s natural part as shown, clip and secure. This section will remain uncolored.
2. Starting in front on the right side, take a 1/8-inch diagonal slice and gently back-comb at scalp, then place on foil. The back-combing will create a soft diffused line.
3. Apply formula to mid-lengths and ends using a side brushing technique, feather formula up to back-combing. Lay another foil on top; do not fold.
4. Continue in same manner leaving approximately 1-inch of hair in between foils until right side is complete. Repeat on other side. There should be approximately 12-15 foils depending on density of hair.
Face Glow: Illuminating Highlights
1. Begin by creating a parting on the right side. Starting on the left at hairline, take 1/8-inch diagonal slice and place on foil. Using a side brushing technique apply formula from scalp to ends. Leave approximately 1-inch in between the foils.
2. Working on the right side from bottom to top, repeat application in same manner working up to the part.
3. There should be approximately 8-12 foils depending on density of hair.
