Pink color blocking continues to trend, but creating dimension doesn't always mean coloring every shade directly into the client's hair. Belinda's Extension-Blending Tips Match the extension texture to the haircut—not just the color. Shaggy haircuts need layered, shaggy extensions. Clients with breakage or shorter pieces around the crown need those details reflected in the added hair. Leaving extensions blunt and dense can create a visible disconnect between natural hair and extension hair. Customize the extensions to mirror the haircut's shape, movement and texture for the most seamless blend. When placing color panels, Belinda recommends thinking like a colorist. Position lighter and brighter pieces where you would typically place foils to create brightness, movement and visual interest throughout the shape. "Blue can be the hardest thing to put in the hair, keep in the hair and get out of the hair," Belinda explains.
