Watch This: Men’s Medium-Length Razor Cut Tutorial
This transformation from American Crew’s Global Artistic Director Paul Wilson is proof that a simple shape modification and a little bit of product is all you need to take your clients from mess…to yes!
Paul completed this dramatic makeover in just 20 minutes, using a feather razor and American Crew’s NEW Firm Hold Styling Cream (which has the support of a gel and the workability of a cream). Watch the exclusive BTC Facebook Live below to see how he did it. Plus, pick up tips like:
- When cutting visually, the hair should be damp, but not wet. “The more you can see the hair in its existing state, the more helpful it is,” says Paul.
- Paul held his razor at about a 45-degree angle, but for a subtler look, you could hold the razor more parallel to the hair.
- To eliminate bulk, start in the lower crown, taking horizontal sections and using your razor to skim from midlengths to ends. Then, use this as a guide for blending into the top horseshoe parting.
