3 Tips for Achieving the Expensive Brunette Trend
Those “blonder in summer, darker in winter” clients are likely filling up your schedule in preparation for the colder months. Read on for how to achieve the much-requested sunkissed, expensive-looking brunette look.
The exact formula you need for an expensive brunette:

Multi-toned, dimensional and a glossy finish is what makes a brunette look expensive. Here’s an inspo pic:
Follow these sectioning hacks to make the brunette look expensive:
To seamlessly blend warm and cool-toned shades, Alwyn uses U-shaped sections from the crown to the nape of the neck. Here’s her strategy:
- Apply Formula A globally to the root.
- Separate the back of the head into four stacked U-shaped sections.
- Throughout each section, rotate applying Formulas B, C and D to result in a dimensional look.

This color formula’s ingredients will heal dry, unmanageable strands:
The IGORA Zero AMM line provided the hero products for Alwyn’s client’s transformation. But more than rich, dimensional, long-lasting color, the formulas offer nourishment and improve manageability while they develop.
Here’s what to know about the IGORA Zero AMM line’s ingredients:
- Formulated with Phytolipid Technology that is blended with natural micronized oils for equal pigment penetration from roots to ends.
- The micronized oils consist of grape seed oil and apricot kernel oil for true-to-tone color results.
- Infused with Omega 9 oils that envelop the hair and improve moisture and manageability.
