Trend Alert: HBO’s Euphoria-Inspired Makeup Is Everywhere At Fashion Week
Say goodbye to the laws of your mom’s “less is more” beauty advice (sorry moms)! Our biggest takeaway from New York Fashion Week SS20 was this: Maximalism makeup is empowering with its ability to break down and blow up beauty standards, so it’s time to have some fun with your artistry. That means stocking up on rhinestones, glitter, neon liners and brighter palettes to create bolder, cool-girl looks that embrace the inclusivity of “more is more.”
It’s pretty obvious that HBO’s “Euphoria” (with the characters’ surreal, hyper-glamorous yet grungy looks) is inspiring Gen Z to think differently about makeup and the escapism element of the “Euphoria Effect” is a rebellion in itself.
