9 Custom Color Formulas You HAVE to See

close formula

It’s always a treat when three-time COLOR, Cut & Style (Early bird hotel deals are AVAILABLE NOW for COLOR, Cut & Style 2017 in AUSTIN, TEXAS!) presenters Richard Jordan, Patrick Kalle and Maurice den Exter (aka the men of Farouk Systems) hit our COLOR stage. And this year, they were joined by the inimitable Anna Cantu, so you know we picked up some great color tips.

Onstage, the Farouk Systems crew presented looks inspired by their “Shade Collection,” which features rich, ruby reds; smoky violets and dusty rose golds created with CHI’s Ionic Shine Shades and Color Illuminate lines.

They also gave us advice on how to customize colors to match a client’s personality. One of our favorite looks? A pastel mint shade inspired by the detailing on a neck tattoo! Here’s a look at the nine color creations (plus the formulas!) demo’d onstage.
