Peter Coppola Hires New Director of Education!
Cultivating an inspiration for beauty takes experience, the kind that Marlene Amezcua has established over the last three decades. As she takes the position of Director of Educational Development for Peter Coppola Beauty, she performs with a sense of understanding that when it comes to creating the perfect look—communication is key. Amezcua has always been a voice for education in major companies, sometimes going against the current to achieve results. She knows that without a team of warriors (educators), no professional hair care company can succeed.
As she develops and oversees the company’s team of outstanding international artists and educators, she’ll rely on her experience and impeccable track record at the Wella Corporation, Sexy Hair Concepts, Sebastian International and the Michael O’Rourke Institute. She’ll also utilize her keen aptitude for management as a salon owner for eleven successful years. Her innovative work developing new systems for online education for clients through Shortcuts Software will certainly play into this challenging new role.
Amezcua has collaborated with groundbreaking Artistic Creative Directors in developing curriculums that empower stylists to achieve their own goals and ambitions. A well-rounded artist with finely-tuned skills as an empowering public speaker, Amezcua has participated in many facets of the industry including photo shoots, commercials, print work and trade shows alongside some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals. Under her command, education has grown and consistently tripled with nearly 10,000 classes globally. She has developed and executed new programs for products, haircuts and styling techniques.
Marlene’s education direction paired with her love and appreciation for the industry is a breath of fresh air. Being a stylist herself, the PCB message of helping stylists be successful in a healthy work environment truly resonates with her.
