Soft Bob by Francois Fortin
Divide wet hair into four sections: right and left sides, upper and lower layers in the back. Pin the upper back layer at the crown and comb the lower layer straight.
Shape the bottom layer horizontally at the base of the neck.
Unpin the top layer and comb straight down to blend with the lower layer. Trim horizontally from the center out to the sides, unifying to the same length.

Trim the sides at a slight 10-15 degree downward angle. Comb the hair back to trim and balance the ends behind the ear at the nape.
Make a center part from the crown to the nape. Starting at the back and working toward the front, trim the ends at a soft, downward 15-20 degree angle.
Section the hair mid-crown and comb up. Trim the ends straight across.
Blow-dry with a paddle brush to smooth and straighten.

Take large sections starting at the middle of the head. Feather ends with the scissors to add texture and finish with a center part.
Soft Bob by Francois Fortin

The bob is always a hot style and there are many incarnations that, as a stylist, you can create. Master Stylist Francois Fortin of Salon Ziba in New York City created this soft bob to complement Colorist Colin Christopher’s New Ray of Sunshine Balayage.
