Modern Texturized Bob from TIGI’s Anthony Mascolo
This textured cut from TIGI’s new Game On collection is an updated version of one of Anthony Mascolo’s favorite, versatile shapes. The strong structure is balanced with soft blending for a face-flattering effect and styling adaptability. For the color, shades of lily white beige and buff suede are worked through the hair and under the perimeter, creating panels at the sides and front to enhance movement and soft texture.

HOW-TO STEPS
-
1
Shampoo and condition the hair using Colour Combat Dumb Blonde. Apply Control Freak serum as a cutting agent to the entire length of the hair.
-
2
To start the cut, take a central parting from the crown to the nape.
-
3
Take a slight diagonal section from the occipital bone to the back corner of the hairline. Comb the hair 90 degrees to the head shape and elevate to a 45 degree angle. With the finger position parallel to the head shape, blunt-cut to remove length and weight.
-
4
Continue with diagonal sections towards the crown. Over-direct each section back to the previous one. Use a stationery 45 degree angle elevation to progress the shape from the nape towards the sides.

-
6
On reaching the ear level and the crown, take a diagonal section from the crown to the low point of the recession.

7
Continuing with vertical subsections, keep distribution and elevation consistent and blunt-cut
to remove length and weight. -

9
From the ear forwards overdirect the sections back to maintain length through the front perimeter.
-
10
Now take a vertical section at the crown. Comb and elevate this section 90 degrees to the crown and with the finger position square to the head-shape, build weight into the nape by slide-cutting from the bottom upwards.
-
11
Continue with pivoting sections towards the sides and front.
-
12
Overdirect each section back to the ear level, elevate to 90 degrees to the round of the head and remove weight.
-
13
Note the change of hand and body position and repeat the same technique on the opposite side.

-
19
After power-drying, use a TIGI PRO large round brush to smooth out the cuticle.
-
20
Starting at the center back, work with pivoting sections and point-cut to remove weight from
the graduation weight-line. -
21
Shift this technique gradually to the top and sides, to soften and blend the overall shape.
-
22
For a shattered look, further soften the perimeter using point-cutting.
-
23
The fringe is detailed by parallel point-cutting at a low elevation.
-
24
Apply Candy Fixation Glaze Haze to add shine and separation. To give volume and support to the finish, apply Candy Fixation Sugar Dust and blast with the hairdryer.
