HOW-TO STEPS

    1

First cleanse and condition the hair with Moroccanoil® Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner. Establish a natural side parting, then transition that natural side parting into a central vertical parting from the crown to the nape. Use two slightly diagonal and forward partings, extending from just below the occipital bone to the bottom of each ear to isolate hair at the nape.

Establish a central vertical subsection at the nape. Distribute the hair perpendicular to the subsection and cut to create the desired angle of graduation.

    3

Reestablish a center parting at the nape, then create a pivoting radial subsection on the left side of the parting. Distribute the hair, creating a T-shape to the parting, elevate to 45° and cut to follow the length guide. Repeat until the left side is complete. Then repeat on the right side.

Create a second set of parallel, slightly diagonal forward partings, extending from the occipital bone to the middle of each ear. Reestablish a center parting. Distribute the hair, creating another T-shape to the parting, elevate to 45° and cut to follow the length guide. Complete on the left side and repeat on the right side.

Then, create a third set of parallel, slightly diagonal forward partings, extending from the lower crown to the top of each ear. Repeat the cutting procedure used for the previous subsections and remember to check for balance.

Create a horizontal parting from the crown to the high recession area on each side of the head. Begin on the left and distribute the hair to natural fall, elevate to one finger’s depth and cut hair parallel to the parting following the established length guide. Repeat on the right side. Continue to work up the head shape in the same manner until reaching the natural side parting. Remember to check for balance.

To finish the look, apply 2 to 3 pumps of Moroccanoil® Treatment to dampen the midlengths and ends. Layer in the Moroccanoil® Smoothing Lotion from the roots through the ends. Rough-dry as necessary and use a Denman brush to create a smooth, straight finish. Mist the finished style with Moroccanoil® Glimmer Shine.
