HOW-TO STEPS

  1 Renata’s hair was prepped with moistrepair leave-In conditioner.
• 

  
  2 A radial parting is placed from ear to ear.  Diagonal forward partings are placed below the occipital bone and sectioned away.
• 

  
  3 A central vertical section is taken from the crown to the occipital bone. 
• 

  
  4 The section is distributed and elevated 90° and cut square.
• 

  
  5 Vertical sections are continued.  Each section is overdirected back to maintain length.
• 

  
  6 Working through the front, pivoting sections are overdirected back and cut square.
• 

  
  7 Working through the front, pivoting sections are overdirected back and cut square.
• 

  
  8 The crown area is over-directed up and the corner weight is removed.
• 

  
  9 The surface slicing and deep point cutting techniques are used to customize the shape.
