HOW-TO STEPS

1

Prep damp hair with amika Brooklyn Bombshell Blowout Spray and rough-dry to maintain texture.

2

Next, create horizontal sections following the round of the head, secure each section with an elastic and then create six ponytails in a Mohawk-like manner.

3

Apply amika Vandal Volume Powder to the base of each ponytail and tease. Once the hair is totally teased, create a French twist and roll the hair to one side of the head. Secure with bobby pins.

4

To finish, spray amika Headstrong Hairspray all over. (And for added detail, Maggie suggests using a ribbon or accent piece to up the cool factor!)

Takeaway Tip: To eliminate using a lot of small bobby pins, use large roller bobby pins instead—they give a better grip and a tighter hold.
