Teddy Bronde
Warm colors are making a comeback, including honey and “teddy bear” blondes. We reached out to LA-based stylist Jess Gonzalez (@jesstheebesttcolor) for the formula and application steps needed to recreate this “It Girl” hair color.
Who is the ideal client for this look?
Jess recommends this look for lighter-haired or previously lightened clients for an easier transition. Clients who want this color should also be able to commit to coming into the salon every four to six weeks for a touch-up and can do weekly treatments to keep their hair moisturized.
“I’m really enjoying doing this color for people who want a change, but don’t want to fully commit to a darker shade,” Jess says. “Since we’re still bleaching the roots, it won’t be as difficult to reverse if they change their mind about wanting to go back to blonde.”
How long does this look take & how is it priced?
Each appointment costs $350 and takes about two and a half hours.
How can clients take care of this look?
To maintain this warm, delicate blonde color, Jess advises her clients to take advantage of weekly moisturizing treatments and to avoid purple shampoo to keep the warmth in the hair as reflective as possible.
