No stranger to outta-this-world color, Nicole Richie, who popularized the pastel hair trend with her lavender locks in 2014, debuted a lavender-based silver mane just in time for the holidays. The man behind her dazzling mane is PRAVANA stylist Jamie Muniz, who shared his recipe for the perfect, sophisticated silver blend. Here’s how to recreate the look in your salon.

    3 oz. VIVIDS Silver + 2 oz. PASTELS Luscious Lavender + 1 0z. VIVIDS Clear

FORMULA STEPS

1. Prelighten the hair to a Level 10 using PRAVANA Pure Light Power Lightener and preferred choice of PRAVANA Cream Developer.

 

2. Shampoo the hair and apply Formula A and process for five minutes, then rinse.

 

3. Apply Formula B from roots to ends.

 

4. Process for 20 to 30 minutes at room temperature.

 

5. Shampoo with PRAVANA VIVIDS Color Protect Shampoo and condition with VIVIDS Color Protect Conditioner for longer-lasting, more vibrant color.

 

6. Rinse, then dry the hair completely. Style as desired. For added shine, apply NEVO Hydra Pearl Replenishing Hair Oil through the strands.
