Intercoiffure North America Diaphanous Collection
Intercoiffure North America presents Diaphanous; a collection of minimalist cuts, with pleasing-to-the-eye color and a soft mix of textures.
“’Pretty’ best describes the look,” explains design team leader Richard Calcasola. “The new look is refined—no more radical cuts and colors. It echoes the new direction in fashion, with layers and multiple shades. Textures are finer, cutting is more precise. It’s a back to basic movement, inventive but wearable, with obvious quality and a focus on the client’s individuality.”
Richard Calcasola strongly insists that the look for 2008 focuses in the middle length, off the shoulder and off the chin. “Mid-length hair is sexy and feminine. It offers options. It’s flattering to most women,” says Calcasola.
Color for Diaphanous is the work of quintessential colorist Gina Khan, creative director of Intercoiffure’s new Haircolor Council. “My vision for this collection expresses complex glamour,” says Khan. “We chose to focus on blondes, because ‘blonde’ reflects today’s obsession with luxury. Our models present very soft shades of blonde, with subtle infusions of color such as gold, strawberry or platinum. The dimension is not defined lines, but rather very diffused color for a very soft, sexy yet wearable blonde.”
